Sad News

We share the sad news that Most Worshipful Brother James Hubert Pike, Past Grand Master, passed away.

There was a Masonic Funeral Service on Wednesday February 12th at 6:00 pm at Ferguson Funeral Home, at 1657 Mountain Rd., Moncton, New Brunswick  E1C 8P2. 

The Funeral was held Thursday February 13th at 11:00 am at Mount Royal United Church, at 106 Mount Royal Blvd., Moncton, NB  E1E 2V2.

James “Jim” H. Pike, 89, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, February 10, 2014. Born in Port aux Basques, NL, he was the son of the late Francis and May (Bell) Pike.
Jim was retired from CN Rail after 41-years service in the Motive Power and Transportation Departments and serving in Management in Newfoundland, Halifax, Moncton and Winnipeg. He was a member of Mount Royal United Church and served his church on various boards. Jim was Member and Past Master of Acacia Lodge # 49 F. & A.M.; Past Grand Master of the Masonic Grand Lodge of NB; member of York Rite and Scottish Rite Masonry and the Royal Order of Scotland; member of the Probus Club of Greater Moncton and Past President of the Moncton Curlers Association; member of the Moncton Club, Philae Shrine Centre, Halifax, Luxor Shrine Temple, Saint John and the Moncton Shrine Club.
Jim will be sadly missed by brother, Mack Pike (Ann) of Rothesay; his sister, Ellen Roberts of Annapolis Valley, NS; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jim was predeceased by his wife, Ruby C. (Spooner) Pike (December 2013) and brothers, George and Francis “Bill”.
Resting at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) with no visiting hours by personal request. Acacia Lodge # 49 F. & A.M. Memorial Service at Fergusons Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 6 PM. Funeral Service at Mount Royal United Church, Mount Royal Blvd. on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 11 AM with the The Rev. Dr. Beverly Daley officiating. Reception in the Church Hall following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
